How to Change Your Reality

Movies like The Secret and the plethora of Law of Attraction ‘experts’ who have crawled out of the woodwork since the movie was released in 2006 all speak of how it’s possible to change your reality, based on how you think about things.  But how do you change your reality?

Oprah, the all-powerful media mogul, has also read The Secret, seen the movie, and is a strong believer that what you think about affects your reality.

But what’s interesting to note is that while she does proclaim the Law of Attraction as an immensely positive and powerful force in anyone’s life, she acknowledges that it is only one factor. Just one of the many laws out there.

Check out this video as she describes her heartbreaking and inspiring life story and how she changed her reality using the Law of Attraction and her mind power.

What are the other factors that Oprah refers to?  How can she say “You really can change your own reality based on how you think”?

How to Change Reality

At some point during our lives, we each have wanted to change our current reality to a new one. Actually, thanks to quantum physics, we now know that this is not only possible, but happens to each of us everyday, whether or not we are aware of it.  But this is not simply about positive thinking.  Perhaps it would help if we considered a number of experiments in changing reality.

In one experiment a few years ago, a group of people gathered together in Washington, DC to lower crime through a concentrated mental effort. A reduction of crime by 25% was expected from prior experiments. This experiment was later found to have worked as predicted according to FBI crime statistics.  Those taking part effectively changed reality.

Another experiment which few know about has been online for about 10 years. At a university in Switzerland there is a radioactive source mounted near a Geiger counter. This experiment allows anyone, anywhere using a computer with JAVA enabled to see in real-time their influence on the radioactive source which creates the random numbers. There are three different ESP experiments which anyone online can participate in.  Most people who participate in the experiment are able to move the line using their telepathy, either to the right or the left.

Japanese author, Masaru Emoto, conducted water crystal experiments, which consists of exposing water in glasses to different words, pictures, or music, and then freezing and examining the aesthetics of the resulting crystals with microscopic photography.  The images of the resulting water crystals are beautiful or ugly, depending upon whether the words or thoughts were positive or negative.

From these three experiments, it seems conclusive that our thoughts carry sufficient energy to change our reality.

Changing our Reality for the Better

Our thoughts can do many things to us, including making diseases become better or worse. It is a well known fact that we can directly affect our immune systems as a result of negative thoughts. Yet we can change that. Thought control of ourselves is a very real fact, and it may hold the key to fighting and reversing auto-immune disorders without drugs. Cancer is considered an immunity system problem, because the body cannot recognize its presence. Everyone has cancer (mutated cells) in their systems. The body also normally works around the clock to remove these mutated cells. Those who develop the disease have an immune system that no longer functions correctly to perform this function. Why can’t we learn to use just a small part of that idle 90% of our brains to mobilize the immune system to destroy cancer and other diseases?

How do we apply these ideas to change our reality?

Here’s a quote worth considering:

“If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.” Marcus Aurelius

My interpretation: “If something or someone or some action has upset you, it’s not the thing or person or action itself that has upset you, it’s the way you’ve chosen to interpret or understand the thing, person or action. You cannot change the other person, or the event, but you CAN change your interpretation or understanding of the event”.

Here’s a video from Dr. Joe Dispenza’s interview from What the Bleep do we Know on creating his day.  This is just another way of saying that he creates his reality by harnessing his thoughts.

Enjoy creating and changing your own reality!
